What a Desert Safari Actually Involves

A classic desert safari is built around dune bashing - your driver takes you on a roller-coaster-style 4x4 ride over the dunes, followed by activities at a desert camp such as camel riding, sandboarding, a BBQ dinner and a live entertainment show. It's a seated, guided experience, which makes it a great choice for families, larger groups, and travelers who want an easy, all-inclusive evening without doing any of the driving themselves. What Quad Biking Involves

A quad bike tour puts you in the driver's seat. You'll ride your own automatic quad bike through the desert tracks under the guidance of an instructor, so it's a more active, hands-on experience. No previous riding experience is needed - every tour starts with a short safety briefing - but you do need to be comfortable controlling a vehicle yourself. If you want an even bigger adrenaline hit, the dune buggy ride is a good next step up.
